Website Hosting

Although hosting is a commercial venture in itself, this is not the core business of Three Things Web Design. Nevertheless many clients speak with me about wanting ‘the complete package’ sorted out for them. So I offer hosting for modest websites through my own hosting company. I run this as a loss-leader and really just charge enough to cover my costs whilst maintaining a reliable service. Hosting with me may not be your cheapest option and it might be possible to get a cheaper hosting product by shopping around a little. However, I take good care of my clients and have done a great deal of research into good hosting providers before settling on a couple that provide excellent ‘up’ time and superb customer service. Some of the price you pay is for the management of the hosting service, which is not such a simple business. I will undertake all dealings with the hosting company themselves. However, if you choose a host other than me I can usually still build you a website on their platform. Clearly at that point I take no responsibility for the reliability of the host you have chosen. Also, although I may contact the host themselves on your behalf, I cannot engage in lengthy query and investigation exercises with them. Unfortunately most of the cheaper hosts will place you on a server with many other people and this can result in some very variable performance and sometimes quite a lot of downtime.
